Ronald M. Simon is the founding and senior partner of the Simon Trial Firm.
He specializes in representing victims of serious and catastrophic injuries resulting from slip and fall accidents, automobile accidents and cruise line incidents. He has devoted over thirty years of his practice as a trial lawyer for injured victims. He has won numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settled many others for which he has received news and media recognition. He has appeared on NBC Nightly News in regard to cases he has handled.
He is a certified instructor and lecturer on personal injury trial practice and is regularly requested as a guest speaker by those hosting seminars for personal injury trial lawyers. He has published articles on trial practice and is frequently retained by other personal injury lawyers in the community to act as lead trial counsel in their own cases.
Mr. Simon received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1973. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Judicial District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Judicial District.
He has received pier recognition as a founding member of the Civil Justice Foundation. He received an award from the Association of Trial Lawyers of America for "displaying an extra dedication to the civil justice system". As a result of his years of participation as a trial lawyer, he was given the status of ACLA Stalwart. He was also recognized as an advocate by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America National College of Advocacy and received the Pro Bono Service Award in recognition of his support to the "Put Something Back" project.
He is also a founding sponsor of the National Campaign for Tolerance. He is registered with the United States Registry's Who's Who in America.
Mr. Simon was recently invited to and is now a Platinum Member of The Verdict Club for Premium Trial Lawyers, as a result of numerous trial verdicts and settlements in excess of one million dollars.
Mr. Simon was also appointed to, and presently serves on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee of the Florida Bar.
